Discipleship

Our Discipleship Ministry is the muscle of CSV. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples.” and yet this is one area where many churches struggle. CSV’s discipleship ministry began with the church planters meeting once a week with a church member. During this time they explore what the Bible had to say about the following areas and how it applied to life today. Those areas are:

*Security: Being sure of your relationship with God according to His Word.

*Intimacy: Developing your relationship with God through His Word and Pray.

*Ministry: Finding your place of service in the Body of Christ.

*Eternity: Learning to think with an eternal perspective.

The goal of discipleship is to teach others that real faith starts with Jesus Christ and develops when a Christian chooses to live their life as though God’s Word is true regardless of emotions, circumstances, and what the world around you says.
After the 20 weeks of exploring what the Bible has to say about these things, each believer is challenged to walk someone else in our church through this same process. To date, CSV is on its 5th generation of Disciplers with approximately 100 people having been discipled one on one.
In fact, CSV is a leader among churches in America with it’s intentional focus on this type of relational, biblical discipleship.
